Interview #2 Joey Fletcher

For my second interview I chose the infamous Joey Fletcher, O.G., rocker of all sorts, guitarist of A Shot Below the Belt, and Wilmington Edge-men.  I would say the first time I met this kat was maybe about 6 years ago at a church lock-in, amazing I know.  Joey pulled through for me this time and gave me probably one of the worst interviews possible so I would like to say thank you to him.  Anyways...

Hows life ? Anything new? Not really.

Favorite new band or bands you are listening too? Talib Kweli, MXPX and that's about it.(kh-blog def. not named after there 1995 release...dang)

What is your thoughts on the current state of Wilmington hardcore? It sucks.

Plans for A Shot Below the Belt in the near future? Recording, maybe a tour sometime soon hopefully, and new shirts. (kh- Name Change???No?ok. ps let me see that design when you get a chance..)

What is your Favorite hatebreed song(s)? None of them.

Current favorite item from the Taco Bell menu? Triple Steak burrito with no sour cream.

Would you agree with the statement "Zaxby's is the greatest eating establishment in Wilmington"? No, Flaming Amy's or Indochine is, but Zaxby's is good.

Favorite Show been to or played? Worst show? Favorite would be when we played Lake City Florida the first time. Worst show we've ever played was with Thick as Blood in downstairs Soapbox. It was terrible.

Favorite new band or bands you are listening too?
New carrier cd is rad. Been listening to a lot of Outbreak again. Sadly I haven’t been listening to music much cause I don’t have my cds. So mainly just been playing guitar.

What is the current state of Wilmington hardcore?
getting better. Never thought it’d say that but I’m really enjoying shows in Wilmington lately. I think it’s because I’ve surrounded my self with the right people. Finally. It feels right. OMEGA.

Plans for Conquer Me in the near future?
Playing as many shows as possible. Fuck money, fuck record labels, fuck anything besides just playing music in front of people. Pure. That’s all I want.

What is your Favorite hatebreed song(s)?
I’d have to say it was when they covered Terror’s Spit my Rage. (I guess this interview is a joke to you-KH)

Favorite Show been to or played? Worst show?
United Blood Fest. Or Trapped Under Ice in Raleigh was sick. Worst show was probably Flawless haha.

Support your scene, don’t be a fuckin cool guy and stand in the back of shows. Stand in front of the stage. NO FUCKIN WALLFLOWAS! OMEGA. PEACE.

Devoured

This CD came out a while ago but I haven't really done anything on here for so its ok, but I just wanted to let anyone and everyone know.  Violation is one of my favorite bands and they deserve all the praise.   There from California and they are the heaviest.  Devoured came out about a month ago and it is grade-A material and you should definitely check it out.

In the best news of the week the infamous band liferuiner have broken up.  After getting rid of all original members, for some reason they have decided to break up.  While some may miss.. I am not sorry for this great occurrence. p.s. there last singer had "Hate Edge" on his knuckles.... just saying..

Something New

Apple introduced their next generation notebooks earlier today in Cupertino. Although they didn’t implement Blu-Ray or drop a new platform under the $1,000 mark, Apple sure did upgrade some features lacking in the old MacBook. Kicking the old casing to the curb, the MacBook gets an aluminum shell with black glass display and keypad. Other features include: a fully click-able track pad, new Nvidia graphics card, 5 hours of stated battery life and an LED back-lite screen similar to the MacBook Pro. The price does hike up to 2.0GHz/160GB/2MB RAM/Superdrive version for $1299 and 2.4 GHz/250GB for $1599 but the older model now gets dropped down to $999.

Its been awhile

This always seems to happen, I start doing this blog then I forget about it and do not do anything for a long time.  Maybe I can start keeping it up to date with cool stuff and what not.

Need money for Camera

Trying to sell stuff bad to save up to get a camera.  I have an xbox 360 for some reason and definitely do not use it enough so trying to sell that.  It was kind of an impulse buy, but this is not!  I've been looking at digital cameras for quite a while.  Do need it.  Im looking at the Canon G9 and I think im pretty set on getting it I just need the money.  Sucks.  I want it NOW.

Things I Have been doing this summer, well took a trip up to Kerr Lake with my mom and it was nice to get away from stuff and got some ok pictures of me my cousin, grandfather, and her dog buttons.

Spore?

I just tonight found out about another embarrassing part of our society.  So apparently there is a PC game called spore which you grow a creature biologically through the steps of cell reproduction.  So besides how lame and pathetic this game is a number of PC (gamers?) have brought it on themselves to make a numerous amount of creatures that look like penis's and other things and place them on you tube for there inter-web friends to chat to them about and get there lolz up.  Also apparently there is a whole industry for porn of these things, hot I know.
